In an area where acoustic music is mainstream, singer/songwriter Chris Koltak has taken live acoustic performances to a new level in the Rocky Mountain region. Koltak, based out of Denver, Colorado, delivers a mix of classic rock favorites and moving original material with a voice and style that’s been favorably compared to Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. His refreshing choice of songs allows him to capture and hold the attention of any age group at a wide variety of venues.
Praised by fellow musicians as the “live performer’s performer,” Chris has entertained diverse audiences at various resorts, taverns, restaurants, and clubs in the Mid-West, Florida, Las Vegas, and right here in the Rocky Mountain Region for the past several years. With his selection of classics and crowd-friendly original material, Chris goes beyond the arena of other acoustic acts, leaving his fans thoroughly entertained. “Playing live is my passion,” says Koltak, “and it has been since I first started performing back in Ohio.”
Home to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Ohio has perpetually created some of the very best musical talent, and Chris Koltak is no exception. Growing up outside of Cleveland, Chris began his career playing with various rock and roll bands in the late 1990’s before moving to Colorado in 1996. Koltak fronted a band here for several years until 2003, when he embarked on a solo career while writing and recording his latest CD.
